Every successful company can look back at its progress and identify a particular product or service that has stood out from the rest. Not only from within its own range, but from the range the market in its entirety has to offer. For MCC that has been our SL MARBLE pigmented screed. And its success is based on the simple claim that it works, every time and for every application. It does not crack, it does not yellow, it goes on smoothly and sets really hard. Above all, it has an aesthetic that exceeds anything else currently on the market which for the end user is the best value money can buy.

Yet our own showroom does not have SL MARBLE installed on the floor! A criticism that has been levelled at us time after time until finally we decided it was time to have our reception and showroom revamped.

Some structural work later, having the dividing wall removed in order to have the reception and showroom combined, Atomic Flooring offered to install our SL MARBLE to show what they could do with the product. Not only did they apply SL MARBLE over the floor, including the kitchenette and toilet, but also on a feature wall at the back of the showroom. 

The methodology was to overcoat existing tiled floor and wall with our HYSEAL 211 waterproofing slurry. The slurry has exceptional bonding capabilities to tiles and therefore acts as a primer screed without the need to remove the tiles. Over this was applied SCREED PRIMER to bond the SL MARBLE to the HYSEAL 211. Then the SL MARBLE was screeded over, with the floating and skimming skills required to bring out the mottled effect of the colours in the screed. Once dry, the SL MARBLE was overcoated with a colour retainer and then sealed with UV SEALER.

The result was a Christmas gift from Atomic Flooring that we will never forget. Every time we walk into the reception and showroom, we will forever remember what Atomic Flooring has done to upgrade our most visible and visited areas in MCC.
