SL MARBLE
Decorative Polymer Modified Floatable Pigmented
Screed
SL MARBLE is a pigmented, cementitious screed for use as a decorative finish. The pigmentation is supplied in the highly concentrated liquid polymer matrix which is added to the SL MARBLE SCREED base on hydration with water. The screed base is shrinkage compensated, floatable and very hard setting to a marble like finish for exceptional wear resistance.
TYPICAL APPLICATION
As a decorative, hard-wearing finish for interior and exterior applications, SL MARBLE SCREED is ideal for domestic flooring and light commercial use.

WATCH POINTS
• Do not apply over floors recently heated. Allow floors to cool before application.
• Do not add more water than is directed or the liquidity of the screed may bubble and pinhole
• Use the same batch of pigmented liquid supplied for the same floor in the same day to reduce possibility of colour variation
• Heavy objects may indent the screed and precautions need to be made to protect the screed from exposure to high pressure points.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Surface Preparation:
Surfaces to be clean, sound and free of deleterious substances. Remove all laitance, oil, grease, paints, mould oil or curing compound from surfaces using wire brush, bush hammer, scabbler or other plant as appropriate. Uneven surfaces can be levelled out using FEATHER-FLOW SUPER.
Priming:
If moisture is the substrate is a concern, first treat the surface with MULTI HYSEAL 211. Then continue with priming. Dilute the MULTI SCREED PRIMER with water at a 1:1 ratio. Apply directly to concrete surfaces using a PVA roller or spray application and allow to draw in. If the substrate is very porous, another application may be required. Ensure all areas are thoroughly wet with the primer and take up any product that pools on the surface and does not draw into the substrate.
Application:
Premix the 2Lts supplied liquid polymer colour concentrate with 2.5 to 2.8 Lts water in a 25Lt bucket or suitable drum. Mix in the supplied 20Kg SL MARBLE powder base using a mechanical mixer until all lumps have broken up. Using a steel trowel, spread over the primed surface at a rate of 3mm – 5mm thick and work out trowel lines as much as possible. Keep the wet edge active as one kit is applied into the other, trowelling over where one kit meets the other for colour consistency. Allow to set. After firm set (60-90 minutes), test the screed to see if able to walk back onto it without damage. Using a wood or sponge float, wet the surface of the screed and float up the pigments to a fine slurry. Skim off any excess and smooth with a steel trowel. Allow to set hard overnight.
Sealing:
After hard set (18-24 hours), lightly sand the surface with 100 grit sandpaper that does not mark the surface. This will remove surface laitance and any excessive pigment floatation to reveal subtle colour movements in the screed and bring out the hard, semi polished, marble finish. Remove the dust and apply MULTI COLOUR RETAINER. When dry, seal with MULTI UV SEALER.

Equipment Care
All tools should be cleaned with water immediately after use. If delayed, equipment will need mechanical action to clean or be discarded.
