TECHNICAL DATASHEET

POXY CRACK INJECTION
Crack Injection Epoxy

POXY CRACK INJECTION is a high strength, low viscosity pourable epoxy compound used to fill tight gaps and cracks in concrete. Sets at low temperatures and is resistant to moisture and has excellent chemical resistance.

TYPICAL APPLICATION
Provides structural repairs to cracks and damaged concrete structures such as columns, beams, floors, and bridge decks. May be used as a casting and encapsulation compound.

ADVANTAGES
• Low viscosity
• Long pot life
• Self-Leveling
• High compressive strength
• Excellent adhesion to concrete
• Non-shrink
• Moisture tolerant
• High resistance to water and chemicals

WATCH POINTS

• Exposure of the epoxy to intense lighting or direct sunlight will produce discolouration in time
• Do not hold a full kit in a bucket for more than 5 minutes, rather pour out onto the target areas and work within the working time of the product.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Surface Preparation:
Surfaces to be clean, sound and free of deleterious substances. Remove all laitance, oil, grease, paints, mould oil or curing compound from surfaces using wire brush, bush hammer, scabbler or other plant as appropriate.

Priming:
No priming is required.

Application:
Mix the resin and hardener together in a clean bucket. Mix only enough to be able to work out within the pot life of the epoxy. Pour out using dispenser, gun or pump into confined spaces. Allow 8 hours before applying pressure or loads on the repaired areas. Overcoat with any solvent free epoxy-based coating such as POXY 1938 in colour of choice within 12 hours to ensure good chemical bond with the coating.
