FEATHER-FLOW LITE
General Purpose Flowable Feathering Underlay
FEATHER-FLOW LITE is a general-purpose underlay flowable application as a smoothing and feathering screed for a variety of floor coverings. Ordinary Portland cement allows for extended open time and next day walk on applications. For a thicker and smoother build than skimming, FEATHER-FLOW LITE will flow from 1mm to 10mm and with the same strength and hardness throughout at the same rate of set.
TYPICAL APPLICATION
FEATHER-FLOW LITE provides a hard-wearing non-dusting floor surface over the following interior substrates: Concrete; Masonry and Tiles (using Feather Finish primer)

WATCH POINTS
• Do not re-constitute the mix after initial set.
• Do not apply over floors recently heated via underfloor heating or sun. Allow floors to cool before application.
• Colour of the screed surface on setting is not uniform in appearance.
• Do not apply over permanently damp floors or where perpetual moisture is a concern.
• Thicker screeds will take longer for moisture to escape for overlay applications.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Surface Preparation:
Surfaces are to be clean, sound and free of deleterious substances. Remove all laitance, oil, grease, mould oil or curing compound from concrete surfaces using wire brush, bush hammer, scabbler or other plant as appropriate. When repairing damaged concrete, ensure that all loose concrete has removed down to a firm base. Any deep holes or low areas need to be filled with MORTAR REPAIR first. Note construction joints that need to be carried through the floor to surface.
Priming:
Floors will need to be primed with SCREED PRIMER. Allow for penetration into the substrate and remove any excess pooling of primer. FEATHER-FLOW LITE can then be applied over the tacky primer or after the primer has been allowed to dry, but no later than 2 hours after drying of the primer. Do not apply over wet pooled white looking primer as this will create runs in the screed and surface discolouration.
Mixing:
Mix 5Lts clean water with 20Kg of FEATHER-FLOW LITE well in a bucket using a mechanical mixer. Put the water in the bucket first, then while mixing, slowly mix in the powder to ensure a lump free even mix.
Application:
Pour over the primed areas and using a steel trowel or pin rake, screed out the product to the desired level or feather as necessary. Ensure as few trowel / pin lines remain as possible, using a spike roller to level stubborn lines while still flowable. Allow to dry and set for 8 hours before walking back on with any pressure. When moisture levels subside to acceptable levels (24 hours min), overlays can be installed directly to the FEATHER-FLOW LITE. 24 hours moisture levels need to be verified with a moisture meter before overlaying. No sanding required as the surface will be smooth already.

Equipment Care
All tools should be cleaned with water immediately after use. If delayed, the equipment will need mechanical action to clean or be discarded.
