Description
TECHNICAL DATASHEET
POXY 1202
Three Component 2mm Epoxy Screed
POXY 1202 is an epoxy flooring screed at 2mm nominal thickness with good chemical resistant properties which gives a tough but resilient flooring system, with reasonable colour stability. A flooring system able to withstand high loadings and displays good all-round abrasion and scuff resistance.
TYPICAL APPLICATION
For use in commercial and decorative applications where high gloss and colour are required with seamless professional finishing. Used in car showrooms, offices, kitchens, laboratories, shopping areas, shop floors and domestic applications. Deeper gloss than the 1mm system.
ADVANTAGES
• Good colour stability
• Long lasting
• Seamless flooring
• Deep High gloss
• Easy application
• Superb aesthetic
• High resistance to water and chemicals
• Easy to maintain
WATCH POINTS
• Substrates must be flat and smooth
• Ensure good priming to avoid blow holes or pin holes
• Spike rolling must be well done to release entrapped air
• Dust contamination on the surface must be prevented during cure
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Surface Preparation:
Surfaces to be clean, sound and free of deleterious substances. Remove all laitance, oil, grease, paints, mould oil or curing compound from concrete surfaces using wire brush, bush hammer, scabbler or other plant as appropriate. Ensure that the substrate is flat and smooth, repairing any holes and dips with FEATHER FINISH. Use SELF LEVELING screed if the substrate surface needs to be levelled completely. required. Friable screeds will have to be removed or re-screeded as necessary. Note any joints in order to follow through the epoxy screed where necessary.
Priming:
POXY PRIMER or a scraper coat of POXY 1202 resin and hardener (no aggregate).
Application:
Using a festo mixer or other suitable mechanical mixer, mix the resin and hardener together in a clean bucket or metal drum. When mixed, add in the aggregate until a uniform, smooth mix is achieved. Pour out the entire contents over the primed areas and spread out with a steel trowel and allow to settle. Spike roll to remove bubbling and encourage levelling. Allow 24 hours before light traffic
