STONE CARPET

Description
STONE CARPET is a natural stone screed giving a decorative natural stone feel and look to floors. The binder holds the stone in place as a continuous, seamless stone screed over the install surfaces, giving a highly aesthetic feel and look that is textured yet versatile. The screed is water and chemical resistant, extremely hard and comes in selected colours or tints.

For use in commercial and domestic flooring applications where long lasting, water resistant, chemical resistant screed is required with a high degree of decorative appeal. Used in showrooms, offices, kitchens, around pools, shopping areas, floors, and other domestic applications.

Watch Points

• The binder is not UV stable and will require the STONE CARPET UV SEALER for colour stability on outdoor applications.
• Do not hold a full kit in a bucket during application, rather pour out onto floor and trowel out within the working time of the product.
• Screeds maybe textured and exhibit gaps if pores are not filled with a pore filler.
• Application on vertical surfaces will be dependent on the skill and manipulation of the product by the individual applicators and at their own risk.

Directions for Use

Surface Preparation:
Surfaces to be clean, sound and free of deleterious substances. Remove all laitance, oil, grease, paints, mould oil or curing compound from surfaces using wire brush, bush hammer, scabbler or other plant as appropriate. Uneven surfaces can be levelled out using MULTI FEATHER-FLOW SUPER.

Priming:
Prepared surfaces are to be primed with STONE CARPET FLOOR PRIMER. It is recommended that STONE CARPET is cast into the wet setting primer which will assist with even STONE CARPET placement.

Application:
Pre-mix the hardener into the resin to make the binder. Empty 20Kg aggregate into a clean bucket and mix in the binder. Mix only enough to be able to screed out within the pot life of the binder. Trowel out using steel trowel onto the primed surface. Clean regularly the face of the steel trowel with xylene to prevent STONE CARPET sticking to the trowel and compact the STONE CARPET into place using the face of the trowel. Smooth off and allow to set hard 8-12 hours. For outdoor use, overcoat with STONE CARPET UV SEALER in the same colour as the STONE CARPET aggregate for added protection against discolouration.

Equipment Care
All tools should be cleaned with thinners immediately after use. If delayed, equipment will need mechanical action to clean or be discarded.

Supplied in 1.2LT Resin + 0.6LT Hardener + 20KG Aggregate Kits.
