Multi PMC Terrazzo
Polymer Modified Decorative Terrazzo Screed
MULTI PMC TERRAZZO is a cement based, polymer modified screed for use as a high early strength topping with enhanced flexural strength and thermal shock resistance. Controlled setting and workability characteristics produce a non-shrink pre-mixed screed for monolithic floor topping. Comes in a variety of screed and stone colours for decorative finishing.
Typical Applications
MULTI PMC TERRAZZO is ideal for cold rooms, kitchens, parking garages, ramps, heavy wear areas, power stations, prisons, shopping centers etc. Surfaces can be grinded down and sealed for an attractive terrazzo finish.

Watch Points
- Floating of the screed will be needed and correct equipment required for successful application.
- Overdosing of the liquid for easier application will result in screed failure
- Inadequate priming with a suitable. bonding slurry or wet-to-dry epoxy primer will result in the screed delamination.
Directions for Use
Surface Preparation:
Surfaces are to be clean, sound and free of deleterious substances. Remove all laitance, oil, grease, mould oil or curing compound from surfaces using wire brush, bush hammer, scabbler or other plant as appropriate. When repairing damaged concrete, ensure that all loose material has removed down to a firm base. Base substrates must be 25MPa or higher. Note construction joints that need to be carried through to the surface.
Priming:
A slurry primer mix of MULTI SCREED PRIMER diluted 50/50 with water and mixed with cement to form a slurry is to be block brushed onto the substrate just prior to application of the MULTI PMC SCREED which is applied into the wet slurry primer. Do not let the primer dry out. Alternatively use MULTI POXY 1305 wet-to-dry epoxy primer as directed for that product. MULTI CONSTRUCTION CHEMICALS recommends the use of the MULTI POXY 1305 as a fail-safe primer. The use of the slurry as a primer is at the applicators own risk.
Mixing: Mix 4.6Kg MULTI PMC Liquid with 25Kg of MULTI PMC powder well in a concrete mixer. For bigger mixers, you may add 2 – 4 kits at a time for each mix i.e.18.4Kg MULTI PMC Liquid with 100Kg of MULTI PMC powder. Ensure the powder is well wetted out even though stiff to hold.
Application:
Drop the mixed MULTI PMC mix onto primed surfaces. Rake out into the wet primer to desired coverage and thickness. Level and compress with a straight edge, filling holes and to level with more MULTI PMC until desired level and compaction. Then float closed the surface with a mechanical floating machine for larger areas or steel trowel for smaller areas. Do not add more water to the surface but try float moisture up from the screed. Then allow to set hard for 24 hours. The surface may then be grinded to a terrazzo finish and sealed.
Equipment Care
All tools should be cleaned with water immediately after use. If delayed, equipment will need mechanical action to clean or be discarded.
