Multi Colour Retainer

Description

MULTI COLOUR RETAINER is a milky white liquid applied to pigmented cementitious screeds before final application of the clear topcoat. This prevents over darkening of the screed colour by the topcoat and acts as a bond between the dense screed surface and the topcoat.

Typical Applications

When applied by brush or spray to surfaces of face brickwork, natural stonework, concrete, paint and asbestos sheeting, it penetrates deeply beneath the surface to line the pores with a thin acrylic coating.

Watch Points

• Take up excess product on the floor – do not allow to pool
• Only apply over the topcoat once the colour retainer has dried to sight and touch
• Ensure screed surfaces are dust free before application

Directions for Use

Surface Preparation:

The surface to be treated should be dry and free of dust.

Priming:

Dilute the MULTI COLOUR RETAINER with water at a 1:1 ratio. Apply directly to screed surfaces using a PVA roller or spray application and allow to draw in. If the substrate is very porous, another application maybe required. Ensure all areas are thoroughly wet with the primer and take up any product that pools on the surface and does not draw into the substrate. Allow to dry out.

Application:

Once the MULTI COLOUR RETAINER has dried out to sight and touch, the surface is ready to be sealed with the topcoat sealer.

Equipment Care

Clean all equipment immediately after use with water.
