MULTIFLOW 710 - MORTAR PLASTICIZER
An Air Entraining and Plasticizing Agent for use in Mortars and Plaster
MULTIFLOW 710 MOTAR PLASTICISER is an admixture for mortars and plasters. It improves the workability of bricklaying and plastering mortars and increases their resistance to freeze / thaw cycles.
MULTIFLOW 710 replaces lime in the mix and reduces the amount of water required to achieve desired workability.
Description
MULTIFLOW 710 MOTAR PLASTICISER is an admixture for mortars and plasters. It improves the workability of bricklaying and plastering mortars and increases their resistance to freeze / thaw cycles.
MULTIFLOW 710 replaces lime in the mix and reduces the amount of water required to achieve desired workability.
Typical Applications
MULTIFLOW 710 is recommended in all mortars - whenever a more plastic and easily manageable mortar is required MULTIFLOW 710 is particularly valuable in cold weather, for damp or exposed work. or when restricted site or safety conditions do not permit the storage of lime.
Composition and Appearance
MULTIFLOW 710 is a dark brown aqueous solution of the neutralized salt Of vinsol resin
Advantages
MULTIFLOW 710 improves the workability of bricklaying and plastering mortars and increases their resistance to frost. Remains plastic for a longer period
Does not bleed or segregate
Helps to eliminate efflorescence Easier and faster to spread Economical:
- Cuts labour costs
- Less material used
- Less waste
- Cleaner and safer than lime
- Better bond
Permits work to continue at temperatures below freezing point- 2bC. Note: see watch points below Improved frost resistance
- Reduced shrinkage
- Cracking and crazing minimized
- Improved weather resistance and durability
The action of MULTIFLOW 710 is entirely physical. Used in accordance with instructions, it does not affect the setting time or other properties Of the mortar
Directions for use
MULTIFLOW 710 may either be pre-mixed With gauging water in a storage tank or introduced into the mixing drum at the same time as the water when mortar is mixed by hand, it should be well turned over to achieve maximum plasticity.
Watch points
MULTIFLOW 710 can be used With Other admixtures provided these are added separately to the mix. It can be used with all types of Portland Cements, including Sulphate Resisting.
It can also be used in lime sand mortars as a further precaution against frost.
MULTIFLOW 710 should not be used at temperatures below-2 0 Cor if the temperature is expected to drop below 2'C within 24 hours, Normal cold whether working precautions should be exercised
Dosage
MULTIFLOW 710 must always be used at the rate Of 140mI 280ml per 50kg cement. Always use the recommended sand for a given application
Packaging
Supplied in 25 and 200 litre drums
Storage
Stir before use.
Will freeze, but can be reconstituted by stirring after thawing. Shelf life: minimum 1 year.
Health and Safety
MULTIFLOW 710 is mildly alkaline and should therefore be immediately washed from exposed skin.
