Description
Multiflow 612 is an innovative new superplasticiser based on revolutionary new technology to provide customised admixture solutions for a wide range of concrete applications.
Multiflow 612 gives the concrete producer the ability to consistently produce and deliver quality concrete batches.
Typical Applications
Multiflow 612 is recommended for use in:
- Concrete with varying slump requirements
- Concrete mixtures utilising supplementary cementitious materials
- Concrete where high flowability, increased stability and durability are needed.
- Ready-mixed
- Production of self-consolidating concrete in (SCC) mixtures.
Advantages
- Workability retention without retardation.
- Flexible levels of workability retention by adjusting dosage.
- Improved early-and late-age compressive strengths.
Typical Properties
Appearance: Brown coloured liquid
Specific gravity @ 25ºC 1.12 (+/- 0.02)
pH value : 8 (+/- 2)
Alkali content (as Na20 equivalent) < 2%
Chloride content: “chloride free” to EN934-2
The engineer
Insurance that concrete meets original specification. *· High quality durable concrete.
Directions for Use
- The normally recommended dosage rate of Multiflow 612 is 3 -1.5 lt per 100 kg of total cementitious material.
- Other dosages may be recommended in special cases according to the specific site conditions. In this case please consult our Technical Services Department for advice.
Mixing
Multiflow 612 is a ready-to-use admixture to be added to the concrete as a separate component. Optimal result is obtained if Multiflow 612 is poured into the concrete mix right after the addition of the first 80% of the mixing water i.e. when all solids are wetted. Avoid adding the admixture to the dry aggregates. Can also be used as a delayed addition.
Compatibility
Multiflow 612 is suitable for mixes containing:
- Microsilica (Silica Fume)
- Fly Ash (PFA)
- GGBS (ground granulated blast furnace slag)
Storage
Multiflow 612 should be stored out of direct sunlight and protected from extremes of temperature. The shelf life is 9 months when stored as above.
Packaging
Multiflow 612 is supplied in 200 litre drums, 1000 litre containers or in bulk.
Handling and transportation
No special requirements must be used during use. Protection gloves and glasses are however recommended. Multiflow 612 is non-flammable, non-toxic or irritant and is not subject to special transport requirements.
Safety precautions
Multiflow 612 contains no hazardous substances requiring labelling. For further information refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet.
